Python Automation Engineer - BDD Frameworks

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Python Automation Engineer with strong experience in BDD frameworks to join our team in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on expertise in Python automation, BDD implementation, and CI/CD integrations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Python and the Behave (BDD) framework.

- Design and implement BDD test scenarios using Gherkin syntax.

- Contribute to the development of robust test automation frameworks following OOP principles.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Utilize test management tools and defect tracking systems for efficient test lifecycle management.

- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

- Work with Selenium, PyTest, or similar automation frameworks as required.

- (Optional) Work on C# automation frameworks-added advantage.

- Follow STLC best practices and actively participate in Agile development processes.

Required Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Python programming.

- Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks, especially Behave.

- Good understanding of automation frameworks, OOP concepts, and scripting best practices.

- Experience with test management and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc.).

- Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and build tools.

- Familiarity with Selenium or PyTest.

- Exposure to C# automation is a plus.
