Python Automation Engineer

Description :

A seasoned Python Scripting professional responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions, test frameworks, and system integrations. The role supports QA automation, platform engineering, tooling, and workflow automation across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Automation & Scripting :

- Develop scalable automation scripts using Python with strong OOP principles.

- Build reusable automation utilities and frameworks for testing, DevOps, and internal tooling.

- Create integrations using Python alongside PowerShell, SQL, or SCALE when required.

- Develop and maintain test automation using Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, or STAF.

Testing & Quality Engineering :

- Design and develop automated test cases and suites in Python.

- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects.

- Support UI, API, and backend automation for enterprise applications.

- Contribute to framework enhancements and automation best practices.

System Engineering & Requirements :

- Understand and analyze functional/non functional requirements and translate them into automation solutions.

- Work with cross functional teams such as Network, AD, SCCM, Datacenter, and Wintel.

- Participate in requirement clarification, feasibility assessment, and technical design discussions.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Create and maintain detailed automation documentation, script comments, workflows, and dashboards.

- Generate test execution reports, script logs, and automation progress summaries.

Required Skills :

Core Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Python scripting with OOPs concepts.

- Proficiency in Python essentials : data structures, control flows, file I/O, error handling, modules, virtual environments.

- Hands on experience with automation frameworks/tools :

1. Selenium

2. Playwright

3. Robot Framework

4. STAF Test Automation Framework

- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise development practices.

Domain / Tools (Project Dependent) :

- UI and API automation experience.

- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure components like AD, SCCM, and networks.

- Exposure to orchestration or automation platforms.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem solving and debugging abilities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination.

- Ability to work independently and lead small automation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience building end to end Python-based automation solutions.

- Experience working in large distributed teams and multi platform environments.
