About the Role :

We are looking to immediately onboard an experienced and highly motivated Sr. SDET (Python Automation Engineer) to join one of our critical project teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python-based automation, particularly around API testing, Pytest, and CI/CD integration. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our test frameworks and ensuring high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test suites for backend services and APIs using Python.

- Integrate automated tests into internal CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand feature requirements and define comprehensive test coverage.

- Identify and fill test coverage gaps; ensure high product reliability through automation.

- Troubleshoot test failures, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to maintain test stability.

- Continuously optimize the test automation framework for better performance, maintainability, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation, with a strong focus on Python.

- Proven experience in API Automation using tools like Rest Assured, requests, or similar.

- Proficiency in writing automation test scripts using Pytest, unittest, or equivalent frameworks.

- Solid understanding of RESTful services, backend systems, and database interactions.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).

- Strong grasp of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and testing best practices.

- Ability to work independently as an IC, manage tasks effectively, and take complete ownership of deliverables.

- Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Prior experience with cloud-based services and microservice testing.

- Exposure to containerized environments like Docker/Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Immediate Joiners preferred :

- Must be open to F2F interviews in Bangalore (preferred), although virtual interviews are acceptable if required.

- Must be willing to work from office (WFO) full-time in Bangalore.

- Share suitable profiles who meet the above criteria, especially those who can join immediately or are serving short notice periods.
