Role Overview :

As a Senior Staff Backend Developer / Technical Architect, you will serve as a primary technical authority, guiding the design and implementation of robust, high-scale distributed systems. You will work closely with cross-functional product teams, engineering leads, and client stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps. Your daily focus involves solving intricate architectural challenges, mentoring high-performing engineering teams, and ensuring that the systems we build are resilient, secure, and capable of supporting massive user volumes across global markets.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the development of complex microservices-based systems to ensure high availability and performance for enterprise-grade applications.

- Define and implement backend architecture standards that align with business objectives, ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability.

- Lead the design of data-intensive systems by selecting appropriate NoSQL and relational database technologies to optimize storage and retrieval efficiency.

- Drive the adoption of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes, to accelerate deployment cycles and improve system reliability.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate technical trade-offs, ensuring that architectural decisions balance immediate project needs with future-proof design principles.

- Mentor senior engineers and developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, rigorous code reviews, and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying large-scale distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.

- Proven ability to architect complex microservices ecosystems and integrate them with event-driven platforms like Kafka.

- Strong proficiency in cloud-native development on Azure, with a deep understanding of container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.

- Extensive experience in database design, specifically in modeling complex data structures using both NoSQL and traditional database systems.

- Ability to bridge the gap between technical complexity and business requirements, communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.

- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in high-traffic production environments.

- Experience working in a distributed, remote-friendly environment, maintaining high standards of collaboration across multiple geographic locations.

- Candidates should possess 7 - 14 years of relevant experience in software engineering and architectural design.
