We are looking for a Progress Developer with 3 to 8 years of experience in Progress OpenEdge development. The role involves developing and maintaining high-performance business applications, optimizing OpenEdge databases, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring adherence to coding, security, and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex Progress OpenEdge applications supporting core business processes.

- Develop and enhance applications using Progress OpenEdge / ABL.

- Optimize Progress application code and OpenEdge database performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve critical application, backend, and configuration issues across global environments.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.

- Ensure application development follows organizational standards for performance, security, maintainability, and scalability.

- Identify and remediate application and database-related security issues.

- Maintain technical documentation in accordance with organizational SOPs.

- Collaborate with business, infrastructure, and technical teams to understand requirements and resolve application issues.

- Contribute to application modernization, performance improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3 to 8 years of experience in Progress development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge and ABL.

- Good knowledge of OpenEdge database, development tools, and performance tuning.

- Experience in application development, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.

- Strong understanding of coding standards, software development best practices, and application security.

- Experience with performance optimization of Progress applications and databases.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.
