Team: 12 Engineers + QA/Testing

Key Responsibilities:

- Own engineering strategy, delivery, quality, and technical execution.

- Lead and coach Engineering Leads and engineering teams.

- Drive architecture, code quality, QA, testing, and engineering processes.

- Own platform reliability, scalability, performance, observability, and incident management.

- Partner with Product on prioritization, scope, timelines, and technical trade-offs.

- Build engineering hiring and skills-development plans.

- Improve processes across multiple engineering pods.

- Ensure customer-facing technical issues are tracked, resolved, and communicated effectively.

- Stay hands-on when required with critical code paths, complex bugs, and technical prototypes.

Ideal Profile:

- 10 - 12 years of engineering experience, with 4+ years in senior engineering leadership.

- Experience leading multiple teams/pods in startups or scale-ups.

- Strong backend, infrastructure, and production-reliability background.

- Experience with AWS, REST/GraphQL APIs, and SQL databases.

- Strong understanding of scalability, observability, performance, and incident management.

- Proven experience improving QA/testing and engineering processes.

- Experience mentoring and developing Engineering Leads.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- High ownership, urgency, and ability to work independently.

- Comfortable remaining technically hands-on when needed.
