Role Overview:

As a Product Manager for Search & Recommendation, you will be the driving force behind how our users discover value within our platform. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle of our discovery engine, translating complex user intent into seamless, personalized experiences.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, backend engineers, and UX designers to refine our search algorithms and recommendation models, ensuring that every query leads to relevant, high-conversion results.

By optimizing the intersection of search relevance and user behavior, you will directly influence key business metrics, including platform engagement, retention, and overall customer satisfaction in a fast-paced Bangalore-based environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define the product roadmap for search and discovery features by analyzing user behavior data to improve content findability and platform stickiness.

- Partner with engineering teams to implement and fine-tune ElasticSearch clusters, ensuring low-latency performance and high-relevance search results for millions of daily requests.

- Design and execute A/B testing frameworks to validate new recommendation algorithms, ensuring data-driven decisions that maximize user conversion rates.

- Translate complex technical constraints into intuitive user-facing features, balancing the need for sophisticated backend logic with a frictionless front-end experience.

- Monitor and report on search performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks in the discovery funnel to proactively iterate on product features.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to manage search infrastructure and recommendation engines, with hands-on experience leveraging ElasticSearch to solve complex information retrieval challenges.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable product insights, utilizing SQL or data visualization tools to inform decision-making.

- Exceptional communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between highly technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders to align on product vision.

- Proven track record of working in a cross-functional, agile environment, showing the adaptability required to thrive in a high-growth, hybrid work setting in Bangalore.

- Educational background in Engineering or Management from a premier institute, providing a solid foundation for structured problem-solving and strategic product thinking.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ecosystem, maintaining a user-centric focus while managing multiple workstreams with 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience.
