Product Manager - Generative AI

About the Role :

BigStep is seeking an experienced Product Manager with 6+ years of experience to lead the development and execution of cutting-edge Generative AI, AI/ML, and data-driven products.

This role demands strong product leadership, technical fluency, and a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver high-impact solutions across industries.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy for Gen AI/ML products.

- Collaborate with engineering, data science, UX, and business teams to translate complex problems into impactful AI solutions.

- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and experimentation to launch, iteration, and scale.

- Guide API development and system integrations to build scalable, intelligent product experiences.

- Manage and prioritize the product backlog in JIRA, facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvements.

- Ensure high performance in data quality, model accuracy, and user adoption metrics.

- Partner with stakeholders to align product initiatives with strategic business outcomes.

- Lead multiple AI/ML project workstreams, tracking timelines, risks, and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.

Qualifications & Experience :

- 9-11 years of product management experience; 6+ years in AI/ML or Generative AI domains.

- Demonstrated success working with AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, and NLP teams in a product leadership capacity.

- Solid understanding of the AI/ML product development lifecycle, experimentation, data analytics, and model evaluation.

- Experience with vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, or agentic workflows is a strong plus.

- Familiarity with API development, system architecture, and scalable software design principles.

- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, JIRA, and sprint planning processes.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of aligning and influencing stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.

- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment with evolving priorities
