Problem Manager - Release Management

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Problem Manager & Release Management professional with a strong background in Data Engineering and IT Operations. This role will be responsible for driving root cause analysis, ensuring stability of data platforms, and managing end-to-end release processes across environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using structured methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis

- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to implement permanent fixes and preventive measures

- Own and manage the release management lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, and deployment coordination

- Maintain and govern the release calendar, ensuring alignment across teams and minimal disruption to business operations

- Ensure smooth release rollouts across environments with proper validation and rollback strategies

- Monitor system performance post-release and address any stability issues proactively

- Establish and enforce best practices in incident, problem, and release management

- Work closely with cross-functional and distributed teams to ensure seamless communication and execution

Key Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field

- Proven experience in Problem Management or IT Operations roles within data-driven environments

- Strong understanding of Data Engineering concepts, including ETL processes and data pipelines

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Solid expertise in Release Management processes and tools

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills

- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and globally distributed teams

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working in large-scale data platforms or enterprise environments

- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices

- Exposure to automation in release and deployment processes
