Position: Principal Engineer (Web)

Location: Bengaluru / Remote / Hybrid

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Web Engineer to lead the evolution, optimization, and modernization of a large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platform built on a microservice-based backend and Angular-based frontend. The role requires a strong technical leader who can refine architecture, guide teams, improve performance, and drive engineering excellence across a global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the modernization and scalability efforts of a mature Angular-based web platform.

- Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams to ensure seamless integration across microservices.

- Define and evolve front-end architecture for better maintainability, performance, and developer experience.

- Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, architectural guidance, and mentoring.

- Champion best practices in testing, CI/CD, performance optimization, and observability.

- Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and strategic engineering decisions.

- Promote continuous learning and accountability within the engineering team.

Required Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on large-scale, production-grade web applications.

- Deep expertise in Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS/SASS, and front-end architecture.

- Strong understanding of web performance, scalability, and responsive design.

- Proven experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs within microservice or cloud-native environments.

- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor teams and influence cross-functional decisions.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience modernizing large-scale SaaS or enterprise web systems.

- Exposure to .NET/C# or similar backend technologies.

- Understanding of web security and accessibility standards (OWASP, WCAG).

- Contributions to internal tools, open-source projects, or technical communities.
