Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Principal Test Engineer to lead test strategy, quality engineering practices, and automation initiatives across complex systems.

This role is hands-on and strategic, responsible for setting testing standards, mentoring engineers, and ensuring high-quality software delivery at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and own the overall test strategy for products and platforms

- Lead test architecture for automation, performance, security, and reliability testing

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks

- Collaborate closely with product, development, DevOps, and architecture teams

- Drive shift-left testing, CI/CD quality gates, and testability improvements

- Analyze defects, root causes, and quality metrics to continuously improve processes

- Mentor and guide senior and junior test engineers

- Establish and enforce testing best practices, standards, and tools

- Participate in technical design reviews to ensure quality is built in from the start

- Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and technologies when appropriate

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- 812+ years of experience in software testing / quality engineering

- Strong expertise in test automation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST API testing)

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.)

- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices

- Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-based applications

- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
