We are seeking an accomplished Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in Java-based enterprise application development, software architecture, and large-scale distributed systems.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled technology leader who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges, designing scalable solutions, and driving technical excellence across the organization. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the technology roadmap, defining architecture standards, and leading the development of mission-critical applications.

You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering Leadership, DevOps, and Business Stakeholders to build high-performing systems that support business growth and innovation.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, Cloud Technologies, and Modern Engineering Practices, along with the ability to mentor engineering teams and influence architectural decisions across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.

- Architect highly scalable, secure, resilient, and fault-tolerant systems capable of handling high transaction volumes and complex business workflows.

- Drive technology strategy, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices across development teams.

- Design and implement Microservices-based architectures and distributed systems to support modern application requirements.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Establish coding standards, development frameworks, and software engineering governance practices.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Lead performance optimization initiatives and ensure application reliability and operational excellence.

- Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments.

- Mentor senior engineers, technical leads, and development teams while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

- Support Agile development practices and contribute to release planning, sprint execution, and technical estimations.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 14 to 18 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, and technical leadership roles.

- Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.

- Extensive experience building distributed systems and high-performance enterprise applications.

- Strong understanding of System Design, Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and Scalability Principles.

- Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.

- Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar technologies.

- Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks.

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
