Role & Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the overall software architecture and technical vision across products, platforms, and engineering teams.
- Design highly scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems and enterprise applications.
- Lead architecture decisions involving microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, databases, messaging, integration, and system performance.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture, solution designs, and implementation roadmaps.
- Establish and enforce architecture standards, design principles, coding practices, and engineering best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical design reviews, and provide guidance on critical technology decisions.
- Identify technical risks, scalability bottlenecks, and architectural debt, and define strategies to address them.
- Work closely with engineering, product, DevOps, security, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives.
- Mentor and guide senior engineers, tech leads, and architects, helping build strong technical capabilities within the organization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and platforms based on business and technical requirements.
- Drive initiatives around cloud adoption, modernization, platform engineering, automation, observability, security, and performance optimization.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 8-10 years of strong software engineering experience, with significant experience in architecture and technical leadership.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, highly available, distributed software systems.
- Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, design patterns, distributed computing, and scalability.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Python, Go, C#, or similar enterprise programming languages.
- Strong expertise in microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and integration patterns.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, caching, search, and data-storage architectures.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of application security, cloud security, authentication/authorization, and secure software development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead architecture initiatives across multiple engineering teams without necessarily having direct people-management responsibility.
