Must-Have Skills

- Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.

- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and other pipeline automation tools.

- Proficiency in Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and container orchestration.

- Cloud infrastructure knowledge in AWS and/or GCP.

- Solid understanding of release management processes and patch lifecycle.

- Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or Groovy).

- Experience with security scans, compliance automation, and SLA-driven processes.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal / Senior DevOps & Release Engineer to lead our release engineering and DevOps initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and managing release pipelines, ensuring high-quality deployments, automating critical processes, and driving cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable software releases.

This role requires a deep understanding of CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, release management, and automation practices.

You will play a key role in streamlining software delivery, ensuring security compliance, optimizing release processes, and providing DevOps support across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Release Engineering & Automation :

- Design, implement, and maintain automated release pipelines for bare-metal, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.

- Build and upload release packages, including patches, and manage the end-to-end customer patch process.

- Drive release sign-off across cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth and timely deployments.

Monitoring & Reporting :

- Monitor release test results, provide detailed reports, and ensure SLA adherence.

- Conduct security scans and automate vulnerability checks with SLA compliance.

- Track and analyze cloud/service costs, ensuring efficient resource utilization.

DevOps Support & Process Improvement :

- Provide ongoing DevOps support to engineering teams, including CI/CD troubleshooting.

- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to improve delivery speed and quality.

- Define and enforce best practices in version control, branching strategy, and configuration management.

Requirements :

- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or related fields (with at least 3 years in a senior/principal capacity).

- Proven track record of designing and managing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.

- Practical experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).

- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Certifications in AWS/GCP, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or DevOps tools (preferred but not mandatory).

- Experience leading release processes for large-scale enterprise or SaaS products.
