About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Principal Platform Engineer to lead the design and development of a highly scalable, cloud-native SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS, serverless architecture, distributed systems, and high-performance APIs, with a proven track record of building and shipping large-scale SaaS products. Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and implementation of a Cloud Management Platform ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Define system architecture and collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative solutions.

- Build and maintain cloud-native services leveraging AWS and other cloud technologies.

- Serve as a technical mentor, fostering collaboration, learning, and engineering excellence.

- Drive the adoption of best practices, design patterns, and emerging cloud technologies.

- Lead and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation.

- Ensure delivery of high-quality software through effective development methodologies (TDD/BDD).

- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must Have :

- 1215 years of experience in software development, with strong focus on SaaS platforms and AWS.

- Expertise in serverless architecture, event-driven design, distributed systems, and event streams.

- Proven experience designing and shipping low-latency, high-performance APIs.

- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go.

- Hands-on with Kafka, Kinesis, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, Azure Streams.

- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Leadership experience with ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with AI/ML systems and familiarity with Large Language Models.

- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
