We are seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to lead the high-stakes modernization of our core legacy platforms. This is a "Brownfield" transformation role requiring a rare blend of forensic code analysis and future-proof architectural design. You will be the primary driver in deconstructing monolithic Java/AngularJS applications and re-engineering them into containerized, event-driven microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities :

- Legacy Deconstruction : Audit existing codebases to map dependencies and "reverse-engineer" undocumented business rules.

- Modernization Strategy : Formulate and execute a phased migration strategy (e.g., Strangler Fig Pattern) to ensure zero downtime during the transition from monolith to microservices.

- Backend Mastery (Java 21) : Lead the backend rewrite utilizing Java 21+ features (Virtual Threads, Records) and Spring Boot 3.x to maximize throughput and minimize memory footprint.

- Frontend Transformation : Direct the migration from legacy AngularJS (1.x) to modern Angular (17+) or React, implementing modern state management and TypeScript strong typing.

- Cloud-Native Architecture : Re-architect infrastructure to leverage GCP managed services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub) and Terraform for IaC.

- Forensic Analysis : Debug and understand "intent" within 10-year-old code without the need for original documentation or developers.

- Security & Governance : Implement modern security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, Spring Security 6) to replace deprecated legacy security layers.

- Performance Engineering : Identify legacy bottlenecks and engineer solutions in the new stack to drastically improve latency and API response times.

Technical Qualifications :

- Total Experience : 12+ years in Software Development; 5+ years in a Lead/Principal capacity.

- Java Expert : Deep understanding of Java 17/21+, Spring Boot 3.x, and Event-Driven Architecture.

- Migration Specialist : Proven track record of migrating AngularJS 1.x to modern frameworks.

- Cloud Pro : 4+ years of hands-on experience in GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Dataflow).

- DevOps & Data : Proficiency in Terraform, Airflow, PySpark, and CI/CD pipelines (Tekton/GitHub Actions).

Education :

- Required : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
