Job Role :

We are seeking a Principal Full Stack Developer with over 12 years of experience to join our team. This is a senior technical leadership role, perfect for someone who can own and define the architectural vision for large-scale systems. The ideal candidate will be an expert in distributed systems, cloud-native best practices, and mentoring senior engineers. This is a remote contract position with a focus on immediate availability and a work schedule aligned with UK shift timings (1 : 30 PM - 9 : 30 PM IST).

Key Responsibilities :

- Architectural Vision & Ownership : You will define and own the technical architecture, which includes designing distributed systems, defining service boundaries, and mapping data flows. You will lead design reviews to ensure alignment with both business goals and engineering best practices.

- Strategic Leadership : Drive the company's scalability strategy. This involves architecting solutions for multi-region deployments, implementing zero-downtime releases, and planning for resilience and disaster recovery (DR). You will also shape the overall data strategy, focusing on database design, caching mechanisms, and event-driven patterns.

- Technical Guidance & Mentorship : Provide technical guidance, define design patterns, and create reference implementations for senior engineers. A key part of your role is to mentor senior engineers, helping them evolve into technical leaders.

- Full Stack Development : While the role is architectural, you'll need expertise across the stack. You'll guide the frontend architecture using React, Next.js, and React Native, ensuring maintainability and performance. On the backend, you'll be familiar with technologies like Ruby on Rails and ServiceNow.

- DevOps & Observability : Advance DevOps practices by ensuring a secure and automated AWS infrastructure. You'll work with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and implement a comprehensive observability strategy with Sentry and CloudWatch.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

1. 12+ years of software engineering experience, including senior leadership roles (Principal/Staff/Lead).

2. Expertise in large-scale system design and cloud-native best practices (AWS).

3. Strong backend (Node.js/TypeScript or similar) and frontend (React) experience.

4. Proven track record of enabling teams to deliver complex solutions at scale.

5. Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
