Role Overview :

As a Principal Front End Engineer, you will be a critical, senior member of the Software Engineering team, responsible for the technical direction, architecture, and long-term health of the user interface for the core Swimlane platform.

This role requires not only exceptional hands-on coding skills but also significant experience in architectural design, technical leadership, and mentoring.

You will drive performance, scalability, and maintainability initiatives, directly influencing the productivity of development teams and the experience of our customers.

Key Responsibilities :

Architectural Leadership :

- Define Technical Strategy : Define and own the long-term technical roadmap, architectural patterns, and standards for the Angular/TypeScript front-end codebase.

- System Design : Lead the design and implementation of highly performant, scalable, and complex single-page applications (SPAs) and component libraries.

- Performance Optimization : Proactively identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, optimizing rendering times, memory usage, and bundle sizes.

Technical Execution & Mentorship :

- Hands-on Development : Inherit a well-architected, clean, and robust codebase built with TypeScript, Angular, and SCSS/SASS, and contribute high-quality, production-ready code.

- Mentorship and Coaching : Serve as the primary technical mentor for senior and mid-level front-end engineers, guiding them on best practices, debugging complex issues, and career development.

- Ecosystem Management : Evaluate, propose, and implement new libraries, tools, and components, ensuring seamless integration and maintenance within the existing architecture.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to translate ambiguous business requirements into robust, intuitive, and beautiful user interfaces.

Standards & Quality :

- Code Review : Drive technical excellence through rigorous code reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, security principles, and best practices.

- Open Source Contribution : Contribute to and help manage our open-source libraries, ensuring they are documented, modular, and reusable.

- Testing Strategy : Champion advanced testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) to maintain high code quality and reliability.

Required Qualifications (10-15 Years) :

- Experience : 10+ years of professional experience in front-end software development, with a significant portion dedicated to building large-scale, complex enterprise applications.

- Angular Expertise (Deep) : Expert-level proficiency in Angular (version 2+), TypeScript, HTML, and SASS/SCSS. Proven ability to design Angular module structure, state management, and component architecture for enterprise scale.

- State Management : Deep experience with complex state management patterns using RxJS, NgRx, or similar reactive programming models.

- Data Visualization : Expert understanding of data visualization concepts and technologies, including direct experience with D3.js and SVG manipulation for rendering complex, interactive charts and graphs.

- Web Standards : Thorough understanding of Web Components, Custom Elements, and browser rendering optimization techniques.

- Build Systems : Expert knowledge of JavaScript build tooling such as Webpack, Rollup, or Vite, including experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines and module federation.

- Leadership : Proven track record of providing technical leadership, driving architectural consensus, and mentoring engineering teams.

- Source Control : Expertise with Git Source Control and advanced branching/merging strategies.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with micro-frontend architectures.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience in the Security Operations (SecOps) or SOAR domain.

- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and internationalization/localization best practices
