About the Role :

We are looking for a Principal Data Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise-wide cloud data architecture. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in cloud data platforms, modern data architectures, and analytics ecosystems, who can define and drive scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that power business insights and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and maintain the end-to-end data architecture from ingestion to analytics across cloud platforms.

- Develop architecture blueprints for data lakes, data warehouses, and analytical systems supporting enterprise reporting and AI/ML use cases.

- Design scalable infrastructure provisioning strategies using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Lead architecture reviews, ensuring scalability, security, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.

- Architect and oversee modern data platforms leveraging Snowflake, DBT Cloud, Apache Airflow, Power BI, and AWS/Azure services.

- Define robust strategies for data integration from various cloud and on-premise sources including Microsoft Dynamics 365, SQL/NoSQL systems, and third-party APIs.

- Design and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring high data quality, observability, lineage, and resilience.

- Implement Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance frameworks with cataloguing and metadata management.

- Establish and enforce security controlsRBAC, encryption, maskingand compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations.

- Design semantic models and BI data layers supporting visualization platforms like Microsoft Fabric Power BI and AWS QuickSight.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Business teams to align architecture with business goals.

- Lead technology evaluation, proof of concepts (PoCs), and adoption of emerging data technologies.

- Maintain architecture documentation and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and data strategy.

- Mentor and guide technical teams on best practices, architectural principles, and solution delivery.

Required Experience :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data architecture and engineering, designing complex, cloud-based data solutions.

- Proven track record architecting data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouses on AWS or Azure.

- Expertise in Snowflake Cloud, DBT Cloud, Apache Airflow, and data pipeline orchestration.

- Strong knowledge of data integration, storage, and processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka, PySpark, SQL, NoSQL).

- Deep understanding of data governance, MDM, metadata management, and data quality management principles.

- Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps practices for data infrastructure (CI/CD pipelines).

- Strong background in data security, RBAC, encryption, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-native data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift).

- Strong understanding of data modeling, ingestion patterns, and orchestration workflows using Airflow or similar tools.

- Familiarity with data governance platforms (Atlan, Collibra, Alation).

- Knowledge of modern BI ecosystems and semantic model design for analytics.
