Principal Consultant - Oracle Cloud Platform

Position : Principal Consultant Oracle Cloud Platform (VBCS, Redwood, SaaS/PaaS)

Role Overview :

We are seeking an accomplished Principal Consultant with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Platform solutions to lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of large-scale Oracle applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership in Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS), Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Redwood UX, REST services integration, and enterprise-grade SaaS/PaaS deployments. This is a client-facing role that requires a blend of technical expertise, solution architecture, and delivery leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Design & Architecture :

- Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of Oracle Cloud solutions with a focus on VBCS, Oracle SaaS extensions, and Redwood design system.

- Define solution blueprints, integration approaches, and security models for enterprise-scale implementations.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to map requirements to technical solutions.

Development & Customization :

- Hands-on development of applications and extensions using Oracle VBCS, JavaScript, Redwood UX components, REST APIs, and PL/SQL (desirable).

- Build and manage Business Objects (BOs), object relationships, and workflow automations in VBCS.

- Design and implement custom UI/UX components leveraging Oracle Redwood design standards.

Integration & Data Services :

- Architect and implement integrations between Oracle Cloud (ERP, HCM, SCM, CX) and external systems using RESTful APIs, OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud), and PaaS solutions.

- Ensure seamless data exchange and performance optimization across SaaS and on-premise systems.

Project Leadership & Delivery :

- Lead full lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementations and enhancements (minimum 2-3), ensuring timely delivery, scalability, and quality assurance.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

- Work closely with clients, product managers, and functional consultants to translate requirements into high-performance solutions.

Governance & Best Practices :

- Drive technical excellence, reusability, and standardization across projects.

- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation frameworks for Oracle Cloud development.

- Ensure solutions meet compliance, performance, and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud Platform (SaaS/PaaS) with hands-on expertise in :

- Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS / VBCS Cloud Service) Business Objects, workflow, data persistence, role-based security, custom UI components.

- JavaScript (ES6+), JSON, HTML5, CSS3, REST API consumption & integration.

- Oracle Redwood UX implementation for modern, responsive application design.

- REST services development, orchestration, and error handling.

- Minimum 23 full lifecycle Oracle Cloud development/enhancement projects executed from inception to production.

- Strong understanding of SaaS modules (ERP, HCM, SCM, CX) and their extensibility via VBCS and OIC.

- Exposure to PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, and OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) is desirable.

- Ability to perform complex problem analysis, debugging, and performance tuning.

- Proven ability to manage client engagements, stakeholder communications, and technical teams.

Certifications (Preferred) :

- Oracle Cloud Platform Application Development 2023 Certified Professional

- Oracle Visual Builder Certified Specialist

- Oracle SaaS Cloud Certifications (ERP, HCM, CX, SCM)

- Oracle Redwood UX / Design System specialization (value add)
