Job Title : Principal Backend Developer (Python & Distributed Systems)

Location : Hyderabad (3 Days Work From Office)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Principal Backend Developer to lead the design and evolution of high-

scale backend systems. This role is heavily focused on system architecture, backend scalability, and platform engineering, with minimal emphasis on frontend development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive the backend architecture strategy for large-scale distributed systems

- Design and develop high-performance APIs and backend services using Python

- Lead system design discussions, including scalability, fault tolerance, and data modeling

- Optimize database performance and ensure efficient data handling strategies

- Build and enhance observability frameworks for monitoring and reliability

- Oversee cloud infrastructure and deployment architecture

- Guide teams in adopting best practices in backend engineering and system design

- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production challenges

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend systems with business goals

Core Requirements :

- Deep expertise in Python and backend frameworks (Django or equivalent)

- Strong experience in building and scaling RESTful APIs

- Advanced knowledge of database design and optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL)

- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

- Proven ability to handle high-scale production systems and complex debugging

Preferred Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of event-driven and distributed architectures

- Exposure to data pipelines, experimentation frameworks, or analytics systems

- Background in technical leadership, architecture governance, or platform strategy

- Contributions to open-source or domain-specific ecosystems (e.g., EdTech)
