About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced IBM ODM Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM), business rule development, and enterprise application environments. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying business rules to support fraud prevention, payments processing, and decision automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain business rules using IBM ODM.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into decision services and rule implementations.

- Analyze transaction data and business scenarios to validate rule effectiveness and accuracy.

- Implement and optimize fraud detection and payment decisioning strategies.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

- Work within Agile development teams, contributing to sprint planning, development, and retrospectives.

- Ensure proper documentation of rule changes, business logic, and deployment processes.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to rule management and decision automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in IBM ODM.

- Experience in business rule development, decision management systems, or fraud/payment decisioning environments.

- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and software development best practices.

- Experience analyzing transaction data and validating rule outcomes.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in Banking, Payments, Financial Services, or Fraud Management domains.

- Knowledge of decision services, rule governance, and deployment frameworks.

- IBM ODM Certification (preferred but not mandatory).

Education :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

- Accuracy and quality of rule development and modifications.

- Timely turnaround of customer and business change requests.

- Effectiveness of fraud prevention and decisioning strategies.

- Stability and reliability of production deployments.

- Compliance with development standards and best practices.

Disqualifiers :

- No hands-on experience with IBM ODM.

- Lack of relevant software engineering experience in enterprise environments.

- Limited exposure to Agile development practices.

- Inability to analyze, validate, and optimize rule changes using transaction data.

- Insufficient experience in business rule management or decision automation platforms.
