Prestige Trucking Insurance - Founding Full Stack Automation Engineer

Prestige Trucking Insurance is a US commercial trucking insurance agency, hiring in India. We've built Insure Stack : upload an intake form and it quotes every major trucking carrier in parallel, in seconds. This is a rare full-stack role for someone who can own a feature from the screen an agent sees all the way down to the browser automation that fetches a live quote from a carrier's website.

This role is unusual please read carefully. We are looking for a genuine three-way generalist :

- Front end : you build the agent-facing app in Next.js / React / TypeScript

- Back end : you write the Python services (FastAPI) behind it

- Automation : you build and maintain the Playwright automations that drive third-party insurance carrier portals to fetch quotes

Most engineers have one or two of these. If you genuinely have all three in real, hands-on work, you are exactly who we're looking for, and we will pay accordingly.

The hard part is the automation. Carrier portals change without warning, block bots, use CAPTCHAs, and were never meant to be driven by software and we must fan out to them in parallel and return quotes in under 10 seconds.

Please note : this is not QA/test automation. Writing Playwright tests against your own app is a different discipline from driving someone else's hostile website in production. We've reviewed hundreds of resumes for this and can tell the difference immediately we will ask, and we will check against your project experience, not your skills list.

What you'll own :

- The Next.js UI; the Python quoting services; the Playwright layer against carrier portals (resilience, parallelism, session persistence, selector strategy that survives redesigns); and the loop that turns every breakage into a permanent fix.

Requirements :

- 4+ years full-stack, production

- Next.js + React + TypeScript real, recent, hands-on

- Python (FastAPI / Django) real backend service work, not scripting on the side

- Playwright or Selenium driving third-party websites in production scraping/automation, not test suites. This is the rarest and most important of the three

- Async Python and concurrency; retries, backoff, timeouts

- You've owned real features and been on the hook when something broke

Strong pluses :

- anti-bot experience (proxy rotation, CAPTCHA handling, fingerprinting, session persistence)

- document extraction / OCR

- Insurance, fintech, or logistics domain
