As a Lead Data Scientist (Part-Time, Contract), you will be responsible for applying your extensive knowledge in various areas of data science to contribute to the successful execution of a defined project.

You will utilize your proficiency in developing and deploying advanced AI models, working with large datasets, and implementing innovative solutions.

This role requires a self-directed individual with strong technical skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a limited time commitment.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models to address specific project requirements.

- Apply expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers, SpaCy, and NLTK to analyze and process textual data.

- Utilize Computer Vision techniques and frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch for image and video analysis tasks.

- Leverage hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), diffusion models, GANs, VAEs, and other Generative AI techniques.

- Apply a strong understanding of transformer architectures (BERT, GPT, LLAMA, etc.) to build and fine-tune models.

- Implement and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods for enhanced AI applications.

- Design, optimize, and implement effective prompts for interacting with and guiding AI models.

- Utilize experience in Django to contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs.

- Develop and integrate REST APIs for AI-powered applications.

- Demonstrate proficiency in working with both MySQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data handling and storage.

- Apply knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment tools like Docker & Kubernetes to understand deployment considerations.

- Collaborate effectively with the team, providing insights and contributing to technical discussions within the allocated time.

- Communicate clearly and concisely regarding progress and technical findings.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

6+ years of proven experience in Data Science.

Expert proficiency in Python.

Strong and demonstrable experience in developing, training, and deploying ML/DL models for real-world applications.

Deep expertise in working with NLP frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers, SpaCy, NLTK, etc., for tasks like text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, etc.

Hands-on experience with Computer Vision frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch for image processing, object detection, image classification, etc.

Significant hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), diffusion models, GANs, VAEs, and other generative techniques, including understanding their underlying principles and practical applications.

In-depth understanding of transformer architectures (BERT, GPT, LLAMA, etc.) and practical experience implementing and optimizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) methods.

Demonstrated ability to design, optimize, and implement effective prompts for eliciting desired outputs from AI models.

Practical experience in building and maintaining backend services and APIs using the Django framework.

Solid proficiency in working with MySQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.

Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs for seamless communication with AI-powered applications.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and basic understanding of deployment tools like Docker & Kubernetes
