Required Skills & Expertise :

1. Power BI (Core BI Skills) :

- Strong hands on experience in building enterprise grade dashboards.

- Expert in DAX (advanced measures, variables, time intelligence, complex row level logic).

- Proficiency in Power Query (M), data transformations, and ETL workflows.

- Experience with Power BI Service (Workspaces, Gateways, Deployment Pipelines).

2. Data Modeling :

- Deep understanding of fact/dimension modelling, star schema, snowflake schema.

- Ability to design optimized semantic models for performance and scalability.

3. Version Control :

- Experience using GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps for PBIX versioning.

- Knowledge of branching strategy, merging, and release tagging for BI artifacts.

4. Technical Knowledge of Applications & Systems :

- Understanding of data sources such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Excel, APIs.

- Familiarity with data refresh scheduling, DirectQuery vs Import mode, gateway configuration.

5. Incident & Problem Management :

- Strong ITIL-based approach to handling reporting incidents and failures.

- Ability to identify root causes and drive long-term solutions.

6. Problem-Solving :

- Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities to resolve technical BI challenges.

- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, calculation errors, and model inconsistencies.

7. People Management/Project management

- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams effectively

- Proven track record of managing end to end project execution and delivery

- Extensive experience in direct client engagement and stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL 300 or equivalent).

- Experience working with large datasets and complex data architectures.

- Knowledge of Python/R for analytics (optional).

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
