Role Overview :

We are seeking a Power BI Reporting Specialist with strong experience in retail analytics, enterprise-scale datasets, and the Azure analytics ecosystem. The role focuses on transforming complex, multi-channel data into high-impact reports, dashboards, and executive-ready insights that drive business decisions and optimize brand performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze and synthesize multi-source and multi-channel retail data to evaluate brand initiatives using quantitative KPIs and qualitative insights.

- Design and deliver high-impact Power BI dashboards, reports, and executive presentations that translate complex data into actionable business narratives.

- Track and monitor initiative performance over time, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to maximize ROI and resolve operational bottlenecks.

- Conduct outcome and post-implementation assessments, capturing insights and institutionalizing learnings across teams.

- Partner closely with business and operational stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and build data-driven business cases aligned with corporate objectives.

- Lead and support the end-to-end rollout of reporting and analytics solutions, ensuring adoption, usability, and data accuracy.

- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and trusted advisor for reporting, insights, and analytics best practices.

- Ensure adherence to data modelling standards, performance optimization, and governance best practices.

- Experience with ETL / ELT pipelines and tools such as SSIS

- Strong experience in the Azure analytics ecosystem, like Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse

Required Experience & Skills :

Education :

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, M.Tech, or related technical discipline (preferred).

Experience :

- 5 - 9 years of hands-on experience in advanced data analytics and business intelligence.

- Proven experience working with large-scale datasets (50M+ records).

- Mandatory experience in the Retail domain, with a strong understanding of retail KPIs, hierarchies, and data patterns.

Technical Skills :

Power BI & Analytics :

- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (Desktop & Service) for enterprise reporting and visualization.

- Strong expertise in DAX (complex calculations, time intelligence, performance optimization).

- Hands-on experience with Tabular Editor, Power BI performance tuning, and semantic model optimization.

- Strong knowledge of Power BI Tabular Modeling, including relationships, measures, and scalability best practices.

Data Architecture & Cloud :

- Solid working knowledge of Cloud Data Platforms, Medallion Architecture (BronzeSilverGold), and Lakehouse-based analytics environments.

Strong experience in the Azure analytics ecosystem, with preference for :

1. Azure Databricks

2. Azure Synapse Analytics

- Ability to integrate Power BI with cloud-based data platforms for enterprise reporting solutions.

Data Engineering & Querying :

- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.

Experience with ETL / ELT pipelines and tools such as :

1. Azure Data Factory (ADF)

2. Azure Synapse Pipelines

3. SSIS

- Exposure to Databricks notebooks, Delta tables, and Lakehouse governance concepts.

- Experience supporting UAT, business validation, and executive reporting initiatives.
