Job Description :
The Lead Power Management Engineer will join the embedded systems team. The role leads the design,
development, and optimization of power management solutions for Android and embedded Linux
platforms.
This involves working with hardware and software to minimize power consumption while
maintaining system performance and stability. The Lead Engineer is responsible for mentoring junior
engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead power management strategy design and implementation for Android and Linux systems.
- Develop and optimize BSPs for power-efficient operation.
- Develop and maintain Linux kernel modules for power management features like CPU frequency
scaling and suspend/resume.
- Troubleshoot power consumption, battery life, and thermal issues at the kernel and driver level.
- Analyze and optimize performance bottlenecks related to power consumption.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on power management features and analyze schematics.
- Perform code reviews.
- Lead and mentor a team.
- Participate in hardware bring-up and debugging using tools like JTAG.
- Contribute to documentation.
- Stay updated on power management technologies and embedded platforms.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years in embedded software development with a power management focus.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and kernel development.
- Understanding of Linux kernel architecture.
- Experience with Linux device driver development.
- Experience optimizing power management in embedded Linux/Android.
- Experience with hardware debugging tools and schematics.
- Proficiency with ARM-based architectures and SoC integration.
- Experience with BSP development and board bring-up.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) :
- Experience with RTOS.
- Knowledge of Android HAL.
- Experience with profiling and optimization tools.
- Exposure to open-source development.
- Familiarity with scripting languages.
