Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end product design across multiple product surfaces - from discovery to polished ship-ready execution

- Push the boundaries of visual design & interaction craft across Plums ecosystem

- Translate complexity into clarity through systematic, scalable UX Advocate for design excellence using data, research, and experimentation

- Run design critiques, coach team members, and mentor by example Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Leadership to influence direction and strategy

- Champion the voice of the user while balancing business goals and tech feasibility Strengthen and evolve Plums design system and brand expression

Tech & Design Skills :

- We Value Figma expert-level mastery (auto-layout, components, variants, prototyping)

- Deep understanding of design systems, UI patterns, and accessibility

- Strong craft in visual + interaction design (micro-interactions, motion theory, visual hierarchy) Experience with user research, usability testing, and rapid prototyping

- Familiarity with analytics tools (Mixpanel / Amplitude / Heap or similar)

- Understanding of frontend constraints (HTML/CSS frameworks, responsive design, web/mobile technical considerations)

Bonus skills :

- Illustration / motion design Experience with Lottie / After Effects / Principle / Protopie Working with design tokens and component libraries

What Were Looking For :

- 6+ years in Product Design, with 2+ years leading or mentoring designers

- Proven success designing for fast-paced product companies where design truly mattered

- A portfolio that demonstrates craft, taste, user impact, and product thinking

- Ability to communicate and defend design decisions with clarity and empathy

- Comfortable working with ambiguity, ownership and high expectations
