Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Playwright Automation Engineer with strong expertise in TypeScript to develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for modern web applications.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through robust automated testing practices, collaborating closely with development teams, and driving continuous quality improvements throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.

- Create reusable test libraries and automation utilities.

- Develop end-to-end, functional, regression, API, and cross-browser test suites.

- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

- Execute automated test cases and analyze test execution reports.

- Perform debugging and root cause analysis for application defects.

- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to improve application quality.

- Implement best practices for test architecture, reporting, and automation scalability.

- Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and test strategy discussions.

- Maintain test environments and ensure automation stability.

- Monitor test coverage metrics and continuously improve automation efficiency.

Required Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.

- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.

- Experience in UI automation testing.

- Knowledge of REST API testing methodologies.

- Experience with Git and version control systems.

- Exposure to Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.

- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

- Familiarity with test reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with performance testing tools.

- Knowledge of containerized test execution environments.

- Exposure to cloud-native applications.

- Experience working in product-based organizations.
