About the Role :

We are seeking a proactive and product-minded Platform Engineer to design and implement our Internal Developer Platform (IDP). This role moves beyond traditional DevOps by creating a seamless, self-service infrastructure and tooling environment that drastically accelerates the development and deployment cycles for our product and ML engineering teams. You will treat the infrastructure itself as a product, ensuring reliability, cost-efficiency, and developer autonomy within our enterprise-grade B2B environment.

Key Technical Responsibilities :

1. Internal Developer Platform (IDP) Development :

- Self-Service Automation : Design and build tools, APIs, and interfaces that allow engineering teams to provision infrastructure, deploy services, and manage environments securely with minimal manual intervention.

- Centralized Tooling : Centralize and standardize core infrastructure services (e.g., observability, service mesh, secret management) to reduce cognitive load on feature teams.

- Abstraction : Define standardized deployment templates and architectural patterns, abstracting away the complexity of the underlying Kubernetes and Cloud (AWS/GCP) infrastructure.

2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud Orchestration :

- Automation : Utilize Terraform or CloudFormation to manage and automate the lifecycle of our cloud resources, ensuring immutability and high security standards.

- Kubernetes Management : Maintain, optimize, and secure the central Kubernetes clusters used for microservices and MLOps workflows, focusing on efficiency and cost governance.

- CI/CD Pipeline : Enhance and secure the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, integrating robust testing and security checks into the platform's core services.

3. Reliability and Governance :

- Observability : Ensure comprehensive logging, tracing, and monitoring are built into the IDP, providing easy-to-use dashboards and metrics for all engineering teams using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

- FinOps Collaboration : Work closely with the FinOps team to monitor and optimize infrastructure spending, ensuring cost-efficient scaling.

What You'll Bring (Mandatory Skills & Experience) :

- Educational Excellence : B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related discipline from an IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, or IIIT is mandatory.

- Experience : 3-6 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or specialized Platform Engineering, preferably in a high-scale B2B SaaS environment.

- Core Tools : Expert proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC (Terraform).

- Programming : Strong programming skills in Go (Golang) or Python for building automation and internal platform tools/APIs.

- Cloud : Deep practical experience with a major cloud provider (AWS strongly preferred).
