PL-SQL Developer - Database Tuning

Role Overview :

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Experience : Experience in PL/SQL development with expertise in triggers, cursors, collections, and performance tuning.

PL/SQL Development :

Strong hands-on experience with advanced PL/SQL concepts such as :

- Triggers : Implementing and debugging triggers.

- Cursors : Working with explicit and implicit cursors, cursor for loops, and managing cursor

lifecycle.

- Performance Tuning : Analyzing and optimizing query performance using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and reducing full table scans.

- Collections : Proficient in using PL/SQL collections (associative arrays, nested tables, and VARRAYs) to optimize performance.

- Bulk Collect : Efficiently handling large volumes of data using bulk collect and bulk DML

operations.

- SQL Optimization : In-depth understanding of SQL query optimization techniques and

indexing strategies.

- Database Systems : Experience with Oracle databases (preferably versions 12c and above),

and familiarity with tools like SQL-Plus and Oracle SQL Developer.

- Unix or Shell Scripting : Experience in writing and maintaining Unix or Shell scripts to assist in deployment and operational database tasks.

- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in database-related performance and data consistency issues.

- Version Control Systems : Familiarity with version control systems like Git, SVN, or others.

- Agile Methodology : Experience working in Agile teams and delivering within sprints.
