Role Summary :

The PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions using SQL and PostgreSQL, with strong expertise in PL/SQL and Python scripting.

The role requires deep database development experience, performance tuning capabilities, and the ability to support business-critical applications in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL programs, procedures, functions, and packages

- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database objects in PostgreSQL

- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing

- Write Python scripts for automation, data processing, and database-related tasks

- Support data migration and transformation between Oracle and PostgreSQL environments

- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across databases

- Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues within defined SLAs

- Collaborate with application teams to support database-driven applications

- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer

Required Skillsets :

- Strong expertise in PL/SQL development

- Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL databases

- Experience with Python scripting for automation and data processing

- Knowledge of database performance tuning and indexing strategies

- Understanding of database security, backups, and recovery concepts

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based environment

Preferred Skillsets :

- Prior experience as an Oracle Developer with exposure to PostgreSQL

- Experience in data migration projects from Oracle to PostgreSQL
