Pivotree - Development Lead - Node.js/React.js

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Development Lead, Engineering to lead and coordinate our development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in React.js, Node.js, and research and development (R&D), coupled with leadership abilities to oversee PR approvals, PR merges, and cross-functional team collaboration.

As a Development Lead, you will bridge the gap between stakeholders, developers, QA, and DBA teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient execution of projects.

You will also play a pivotal role in driving innovation and maintaining development standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership :

- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering growth and technical excellence.

- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Development and Technical Oversight :

- Provide hands-on technical guidance in React.js, Node.js, and other relevant technologies.

- Oversee the development process, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and timelines.

- Approve and manage Pull Requests (PRs) and merge processes to maintain code quality and stability.

Research and Development (R&D) :

- Drive R&D initiatives to evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies for improving development efficiency.

- Encourage innovation within the team to solve complex technical challenges.

Collaboration with Teams :

- Work closely with QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure product quality.

- Collaborate with Data Analysts (DBAs) to integrate and optimize database solutions.

- Facilitate communication between development teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and set expectations.

Stakeholder Communication :

- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities.

- Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, and potential risks.

Project Management :

- Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

- Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to keep teams on track.

Process Improvement :

- Establish and refine development workflows to maximize productivity and quality.

- Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.

Documentation and Compliance :

- Ensure proper documentation of project requirements, architecture, and processes.

- Maintain compliance with security and data privacy regulations.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

- Expertise in React.js, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

- Proven experience managing PR approvals, merges, and code reviews.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

Preferred :

- Experience collaborating with QA, DBA, and cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based (AWS) environments.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Knowledge of database systems and optimization strategies.
