Role Overview :

The DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes Specialist) is an essential technical role requiring 1-3 years of experience to focus on the design, deployment, and comprehensive management of our Kubernetes infrastructure.

The incumbent must possess a strong foundation in container orchestration, be proficient with Docker, and have practical experience with Kubernetes cluster operations.

This is a full-time position located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer (1-3 years experience) with mandatory strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration concepts and hands-on experience with Kubernetes Cluster Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of production Kubernetes clusters, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Key responsibilities also include managing Application Deployment and Release Management, building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and ensuring cluster security, networking, and robust backup/disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Kubernetes Cluster Management and Operations :

- Setting up, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Execute Cluster Installation and Configuration tasks, managing nodes, control plane components, and resource allocation.

- Perform cluster Upgrades and Maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and managing version compatibility.

- Implement and manage User and Access Management within the cluster, focusing on RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) to enforce the principle of least privilege.

- Design and configure Networking and Service Management (e.g., Services, Ingress Controllers, CNI plugins) to ensure efficient inter-service communication.

Security, Monitoring, and Reliability :

- Enforce Security Management across the cluster, including image scanning, network policies, and secret management.

- Implement Monitoring and Logging solutions to track cluster health, resource utilization, and application performance.

- Configure and test Cluster Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions to ensure data durability and rapid recovery time objectives (RTO).

CI/CD and Automation :

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar for streamlined application delivery.

- Drive Deployment and Release Management strategies (e.g., Blue/Green, Canary) using Kubernetes native tools (e.g., Helm, Kustomize).

- Recommend solutions for process optimization and automation using scripting languages and DevOps principles.

- Leverage Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure for hybrid or multi-cloud deployment scenarios.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 1-3 yrs experience in DevOps/SRE roles.

- Containerization : Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration concepts.

- Orchestration : Hands-on Experience with Kubernetes and Cluster Management.

- Networking : Practical experience with Networking Configuration within Kubernetes.

- CI/CD : Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.

- DevOps : Proficiency in Deployment and Release Management concepts.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.

- Exposure to Prometheus/Grafana or ELK Stack for monitoring/logging.

- Certification in Docker or Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD).

- Scripting skills (Bash, Python).
