Location : Hybrid (3 Days/Week Work from Office)

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining performance testing strategies, designing workload models, executing end-to-end performance tests, and analyzing application behavior under varying load conditions.

The role requires strong expertise in performance testing tools, monitoring platforms, and performance engineering best practices to identify and resolve system bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies aligned with business requirements, SLAs, and non-functional requirements (NFRs).

- Design realistic workload models and performance test scenarios based on application usage patterns.

- Develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner and JMeter.

- Conduct Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance, and Scalability testing across enterprise applications.

- Monitor application and infrastructure performance during test execution and identify performance bottlenecks.

- Analyze key performance metrics including Response Time, Throughput, Transactions Per Second (TPS), CPU utilization, Memory consumption, and Garbage Collection (GC) behavior.

- Compile performance test reports and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvements.

- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve performance issues.

- Participate in defect triage discussions and support issue prioritization and resolution.

- Leverage monitoring and observability tools to proactively identify and troubleshoot performance concerns.

- Work independently while managing multiple testing assignments and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.

- Strong expertise in LoadRunner for scripting, execution, monitoring, and result analysis.

- Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance test development and execution.

- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices.

- Experience in designing and executing :

a. Load Testing

b. Stress Testing

c. Spike Testing

d. Endurance Testing

e. Scalability Testing

f. Good understanding of performance metrics such as :

a. TPS (Transactions Per Second)

b. Response Time

c. Throughput

d. CPU Utilization

e. Memory Utilization

f. Garbage Collection (GC)

- Strong defect identification, troubleshooting, and triage skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently and drive performance testing activities end-to-end.

Preferred Skills :

- Strong experience in Performance Engineering practices.

- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for application monitoring and performance diagnostics.

- Experience analyzing logs and correlating issues using Splunk.

- Ability to collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

- Exposure to enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.

Education :

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related discipline.

- Any Graduate with relevant performance testing experience will be considered.
