Job Summary :


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PHP Developer to join our backend development team.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing server-side logic, maintaining and optimising web applications, and integrating front-end elements built by your co-workers.

A deep understanding of cyber security practices and secure coding principles is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, record, and maintain robust PHP applications and backed services.

- Work closely with front-end developers and UI/UX designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, DevOps, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.

- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

- Write clean, well-designed code following best practices and coding standards.

- Build reusable PHP modules and libraries for future use.

- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality.

- Implement and adhere to cyber security best practices, including input validation, authentication, and access control.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 2+ years of experience in PHP development.

- Strong knowledge of object-oriented PHP and MVC frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).

- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

- Knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL and database design principles.

- Understanding of RESTful API development and integration.

- Awareness of common web security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques.

- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development process.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
