More About the Position :

Looking for a strong, talented, multi-tasking Software Engineer to join our Anti-Piracy Engineering team.

You will design, develop, implement, and support a bespoke php anti-piracy solution, working on Cloud environments.

You will be working in an Agile, solution-driven development team on a variety of projects, ranging from maintaining our existing systems to building new, cutting edge solutions.

Reporting to the Technical Lead, you must have a passion for the best development practices, latest technology and solving challenging technical problems.

Key Accountabilities :

- Maintain and build upon the Anti-piracy solution.

- Help migrate Monolith solutions to a Microservice architecture.

- Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.

- Design and work with complex data models.

- Maintain and optimize our current systems.

- Monitor and assist software releases by coordinating work with various teams across the globe.

Technical Qualifications :

- At least 5 years of development experience.

- Advanced knowledge of PHP7.

- Some knowledge of Selenium.

- Ability to work on bespoke PHP frameworks or with no frameworks.

- Knowledge of MySQL.

- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

- Angular, jQuery.

- Experience with messaging and streaming platforms (RabbitMQ etc.).

- Experience with cloud computing (ideally AWS).

- Experience with caching technologies (Memcached, Redis, ElastiCache etc.).

- Good understanding of software design principles (OOP, SOLID, Design Patterns).

- Experience in automating build deployments, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

General Qualifications :

- Ability to work effectively as a team member, across project teams, and independently.

- Ability to leverage asynchronous programming, queuing, caching, logging, security and persistence when appropriate.

- Strong ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems.

- Demonstrable experience of working on high capacity, high availability systems.

- Strong cooperation and collaboration skills; motivation for sharing knowledge.

Winning Qualifications :

- Experience in pure PHP without frameworks.

- Experience in using PHP outside of web development.

- Experience in HTML JS and CSS without frameworks.

- Good experience with web crawling.

- Knowledge in live video streaming.

- Experience with AWS SQS, Elastic search service, EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, Cloudwatch.
