Job Overview :

Are you passionate about maintaining the reliability and performance of one of the world's largest fintech infrastructures ? We are seeking a skilled SRE - System Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Linux/Unix administration and networking, a keen understanding of open-source technologies, tools, and cloud services, and a drive to ensure our services are always-up and always-available.

Key Responsibilities :

- Demonstrate proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in the field.

- Utilize computer networking proficiency and practical working knowledge to manage and troubleshoot network components.

- Apply a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools, with a strong emphasis on leveraging various cloud services.

- Implement robust best practices and IT operations to maintain an always-up, always-available service for critical fintech infrastructure.

- Actively participate in the on-call rotation schedule to provide timely support and incident resolution.

- Display a strong background in Linux networking, including the effective use of IP, iptables, and IPsec.

- Work effectively with MySQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Apply strong coding and scripting skills, with a preference for Perl, Python, or Golang for automation and system management tasks.

- Leverage experience with automation and configuration management tools, such as SaltStack, to streamline operations.

- Possess hands-on experience with private cloud environments, including their deployment and management.

Required Skills :

- Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration with extensive experience.

- Computer networking proficiency and working knowledge.

- Experience utilizing a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools, with a strong emphasis on cloud services.

- Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and IT operations for high availability and reliability.

- Willingness to participate actively in an on-call rotation schedule.

- Strong background in Linux networking, including IP, iptables, and IPsec.

- Effective working experience with MySQL databases.

- Strong coding and scripting skills, with a preference for Perl, Python, or Golang.

- Experience with automation and configuration management tools, specifically SaltStack.

- Hands-on experience with private cloud environments.

- Excellent communication skills in English.

Desirable Skills :

- Experience with implementing cloud services on Linux using KVM/QEMU.

- Familiarity with container orchestration technology.

- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, especially Aerospike.

- Proficiency in Perl and Golang.

- Understanding of Galera cluster operations.

- Experience with data center related activities
