Description :

We are seeking an experienced Perl Developer to work on a freelance/contract basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Perl development, database integration, and application code conversion, with proven expertise in managing release processes.

This role requires a high level of technical proficiency and the ability to deliver quality solutions in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using Perl.

- Write and enhance T-SQL / SQL Server code to ensure compatibility and performance.

- Work on application code conversion projects (e.g., Sybase to MS SQL).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for release management and deployment activities.

- Utilize ADO, Git, and other tools for version control and release tracking.

- Ensure best practices in coding, documentation, and release processes are consistently followed.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong expertise in Perl development.

- Proficiency in T-SQL / SQL Server programming.

- Hands-on experience with ADO and Git.

- Strong understanding of release management practices.

- Experience in application code conversion (Sybase to MS SQL).

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to other scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience in performance tuning and optimization
