Job Description

Job Title : Performance Testing Engineer

Type : 6 Months Contract + Extendable

Experience : 5 - 10yrs


Location : Remote


Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end performance testing and engineering efforts across multiple projects.

- Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using Apache JMeter (Mandatory).


- Customize test scripts and tools using Java and Python.

- Define and implement different types of performance tests : Load, Stress, Endurance, Stability, and Resiliency.

- Create detailed performance Test Plans, Strategies, Workload Models, and test scenarios.

- Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) from scratch.

- Set up and manage test environments, including data setup and hardware/software configuration understanding.

- Monitor and analyze system performance using tools such as AppDynamics, DataDog, and provide recommendations.

- Perform API performance testing and validate backend service responsiveness under load.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/DevOps environments to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5- 10 years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Engineering.

- Expert-level proficiency in JMeter (mandatory) and scripting with Java/Python.

- Strong understanding of application and infrastructure architectures.

- Proven experience in designing and executing non-functional tests across multiple protocols (HTTP/HTML, REST, Web Services, Queues, asynchronous calls).

- Hands-on experience in performance monitoring and tuning using APM tools like AppDynamics, DataDog.

- Experience in NFR elicitation, test planning, execution, and defect management.

- Solid understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
