Key Technical Skills Required :

- Performance Testing - Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling

- Scripting - Shell (Bash/KSH), Perl, Groovy, Python

- Monitoring/APM - Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, ElasticSearch

- Cloud & Infra - GCP, AWS basics, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

- Databases - MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis

- DevOps & CI/CD - Jenkins, Git, SVN, REST APIs, JSON

- System & OS Tools - Linux process monitoring, `top`, `vmstat`, `iostat`, `netstat`, `sar`, `nmon`

- Chaos Engineering - Chaos Monkey, Gremlin or equivalent

- Protocols - HTTP, TCP/IP, WebSockets, DNS, Messaging Queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

- Others - Observability frameworks, Resiliency Testing, Code Profiling

Responsibilities :

- Design and execute performance test strategies across web, API, DB, and mobile platforms.

- Deep-dive bottleneck analysis across application, infrastructure, and database layers.

- Build and maintain automated performance testing pipelines integrated with CI/CD.

- Conduct resiliency testing, failover, and recovery testing across distributed systems.

- Collaborate with dev, infra, and QA teams to ensure optimal system performance.

- Implement observability using Prometheus-Grafana, Elastic Stack, APM tools.

- Build simulation utilities, synthetic monitors, and test data generators.

- Own KPIs like response time, throughput, concurrency, resource utilization.

- Provide detailed RCA with tuning recommendations for JVMs, databases, APIs, and system parameters.

- Drive performance test planning and generate insightful dashboards and stakeholder reports.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability building within performance engineering.

Must-Have Qualifications :

- 5+ years in Performance Testing / Engineering with hands-on tooling expertise.

- Deep understanding of system architecture, network layers, cloud-native apps.

- Hands-on with containerization and microservices.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across full-stack layers.

- Proficiency in test result analysis, scalability planning, and service-level validation.

- Ability to code custom utilities or data-driven simulations for realistic load.
