Performance Test Lead - JMeter

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Test Lead to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about ensuring the scalability, responsiveness, and stability of applications, and eager to work with cutting-edge technologies, this role is for you. You will be responsible for leading performance testing efforts, identifying bottlenecks, and providing critical insights to optimize system performance. This role requires strong hands-on experience with JMeter and Kubernetes, along with excellent communication and team handling abilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Performance Test Strategy & Planning :

- Lead the entire performance testing lifecycle, from requirements gathering and test planning to execution, analysis, and reporting.

- Develop comprehensive performance test strategies and plans for various applications, ensuring coverage for load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing.

- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success criteria for performance testing.

Test Script Development & Execution :

- Design, develop, and execute high-volume performance test scripts using JMeter for web applications, APIs, and other system components.

- Configure test environments and test data to simulate realistic user loads and scenarios.

Performance Analysis & Root Cause Identification :

- Conduct in-depth analysis of performance test results, identifying bottlenecks and performance degradation issues.

- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for performance bottlenecks across various layers of the application stack (e.g., application code, database, network, infrastructure).

- Provide actionable recommendations to development and operations teams for performance improvement.

Team Leadership & Mentorship :

- Lead and mentor a team of performance test engineers, providing technical guidance, support, and fostering their growth.

- Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the successful completion of performance testing initiatives.

Kubernetes Integration & Testing :

- Demonstrate hands-on experience with Kubernetes for understanding application deployment, scaling, and resource management within containerized environments for performance testing.

- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Kubernetes-orchestrated applications.

Performance Engineering & SDLC :

- Possess strong knowledge of performance engineering concepts and approaches, integrating performance testing throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance testing processes and methodologies.

Client Communication & Project Management :

- Exhibit excellent client communication skills, presenting complex technical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively under strict timelines and manage multiple performance testing projects concurrently.

What You Bring :

Requirements :

- Experience: 5-8 years of dedicated experience in performance testing, with a strong emphasis on leading roles.

- Performance Testing Fundamentals: Good understanding of core performance testing concepts, types, and methodologies.

- JMeter Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in using JMeter for performance test script development, execution, and analysis.

- Kubernetes Experience: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including understanding of deployments, pods, services, and monitoring within a performance testing context.

- Team Leadership: Proven experience in team handling, including mentoring, task delegation, and managing project deliverables.

- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Skilled in identifying root cause analysis (RCA) for performance bottlenecks using various profiling and monitoring tools.

- Performance Engineering: Solid knowledge of performance engineering concepts and approaches, including their integration into the SDLC.

- Communication: Excellent client communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical details to diverse audiences.

- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to work under strict timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
