Position : Performance Test Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Performance Test Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on expertise in performance and load testing, with a deep focus on Apache JMeter. You will be responsible for the end-to-end performance testing lifecycle, from designing and executing test scripts to analyzing results and identifying system bottlenecks. This role requires a solid understanding of the Life Sciences (LS) domain and a commitment to ensuring our applications meet stringent performance and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Performance Test Strategy & Scripting :

- Design, develop, and execute complex performance test scripts using Apache JMeter to simulate various load conditions.

- Define detailed performance test scenarios based on business workflows, user behavior, and non-functional requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and memory leaks.

Analysis & Reporting :

- Analyze performance test results, utilizing monitoring tools and system resource utilization data.

- Provide comprehensive and detailed reports highlighting bottlenecks, risks, and actionable recommendations for performance improvement.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of server logs and application-level metrics to pinpoint root causes of performance issues.

STLC & Domain Compliance :

- Participate actively in the entire Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test planning, test execution, and defect tracking.

- Ensure all performance testing activities align with Life Sciences domain standards and compliance requirements, such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.

Automation & Optimization :

- Continuously optimize performance testing strategies, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency and test coverage.

- Contribute to the integration of performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Experience :

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in performance and load testing.

- Strong expertise in Apache JMeter for test script development and execution.

- Proven experience in the Life Sciences (LS) domain, with a good understanding of regulatory environments like GxP.

Technical Proficiency :

- Proficiency in analyzing server logs, system resource utilization, and monitoring tools.

- Strong knowledge of SQL for database performance validation and data integrity checks.

- Hands-on experience with test design, execution, and defect management across the entire STLC.

Problem-Solving & Collaboration :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex performance issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development and business teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with other performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or Gatling.

- Familiarity with CI/CD integration for automated performance testing.

- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java).

- Experience with cloud-based testing and monitoring.
