Key Responsibilities :
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Salesforce Marketing Cloud components including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Audience Builder.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of Salesforce Marketing Cloud workflows, campaigns, and data pipelines.
- Validate data synchronization between Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud (including Contact/Lead data, journeys, and triggered sends).
- Collaborate with marketing, CRM, and technical teams to understand campaign requirements and ensure accurate end-to-end delivery.
- Conduct API testing for Marketing Cloud integrations with external systems, data warehouses, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, AWS, or custom APIs).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or REST Assured to improve testing efficiency.
- Utilize SQL and data validation queries to verify data loads, segmentation, and personalization logic.
- Test Journey Builder logic, email sends, triggered campaigns, and AMPscript personalization.
- Perform UI testing for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM Lightning pages to ensure consistent user experiences.
- Document test results, defects, and resolutions using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or TestRail, ensuring traceability to business requirements.
- Participate in release planning, sprint reviews, and UAT support, ensuring high-quality releases in Agile environments.
- Provide inputs for test process improvements, automation frameworks, and continuous integration (CI/CD) adoption.
Required Skills & Experience :
Technical Expertise :
- 6 to 8 years of total QA experience, with minimum 35 years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud testing.
- Strong understanding of SFMC modules Email Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, and Automation Studio.
- Hands-on experience with AMPscript, SQL, and data extensions for campaign and personalization validation.
- Good exposure to Salesforce CRM (Sales/Service Cloud) integration testing with SFMC.
- Experience with REST/SOAP API testing and use of tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Solid understanding of data flow, segmentation, and audience synchronization between CRM and SFMC.
- Familiarity with marketing automation processes, journey orchestration, and trigger-based campaign workflows.
- Experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver, Java, Python, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing in DevOps environments.
Testing Tools :
- JIRA / Azure DevOps / TestRail for test case management and defect tracking.
- Postman / SoapUI for API testing and response validation.
- Salesforce Inspector / Workbench / Data Loader for data verification and migration validation.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect for Salesforce CRM integration.
- Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud, Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement), or Customer Data Platform (CDP) testing.
- Familiarity with email deliverability, personalization logic, and compliance testing (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Basic understanding of Einstein AI features within Marketing Cloud.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based QA delivery
