Peoplesoft Administrator - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Role : PeopleSoft Administrator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing PeopleSoft applications, databases, and environments hosted on OCI, with a focus on operational stability, scalability, and performance.

Hands-on experience with Autonomous Database 23ai and OCI-native tools for backup, restore, and monitoring is critical. Candidates with OCI and ADB certifications will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, configure, and maintain PeopleSoft environments (v9.2) running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

- Manage PeopleSoft Cloud Manager for environment provisioning, lifecycle management, patching, and cloning.

- Implement and manage Autonomous Database (ADB 23ai) for PeopleSoft workloads, including backup, restore, and recovery operations.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply PeopleTools upgrades (8.5x, 8.6x).

- Design, configure, and troubleshoot OCI networking (VCNs, subnets, gateways, security rules, DRG/LPG) to ensure secure and reliable connectivity across environments.

- Develop and maintain operational procedures for OCI-based PeopleSoft environments.

- Collaborate with DBAs, Cloud Architects, and Developers to ensure secure and reliable infrastructure operations.

- Ensure compliance with security policies, patching requirements, and industry best practices.

- Support disaster recovery testing and high availability strategies within OCI.

Required Qualifications :

- 10+ years of hands-on experience as a PeopleSoft Administrator.

- Strong expertise with PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.5x, 8.6x.

- 5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including compute, networking, and storage.

- Hands-on knowledge of PeopleSoft Cloud Manager.

- Solid experience working with Autonomous Database 23ai (ADB), including backup/restore and tuning.

- Practical knowledge of database migration, patching, and environment refresh strategies.

- Experience in backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning

Preferred Qualifications :

- Oracle OCI and ADB certifications.

- Experience automating environment provisioning, scaling, and monitoring in OCI.

- Familiarity with Oracle security, identity management, and governance tools.

- Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or Ansible) for automation.
