Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Pega Lead System Architect with strong expertise in Pega PRPC, Java/JSP, and RDBMS technologies to lead end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise-grade BPM solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving architectural decisions, ensuring solution quality, and mentoring technical teams throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Design :


- Lead the design and development of Pega-based enterprise solutions using Pega PRPC (v7.x/8.x).

- Architect scalable, reusable, and robust application components following Pega guardrails and best practices.

- Own the overall application architecture including integration, security, data modeling, and performance.

- Develop and review technical design documents, class structures, data models, and rule sets.

Technical Leadership :


- Guide development teams in rule configuration, integration development, and UI implementation.

- Perform code reviews and enforce adherence to Pega and industry standards.

- Collaborate with business architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Integration & Backend Development :


- Lead integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP services, MQ, JMS, or connectors.

- Utilize Java, JSP, JavaScript, and HTML5 for custom components and enhancements.

- Work with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL) for schema design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.

Implementation & Delivery :


- Oversee deployment, environment setup, and production release support.

- Drive performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution across application layers.

- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance frameworks.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship :


- Mentor junior and senior Pega developers.


- Provide thought leadership on BPM technologies, reusable components, and design accelerators.


- Support project planning, estimation, and effort sizing.

Required Skills & Qualifications :


- Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) - Mandatory.

- 8-12+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 4+ years as a Pega LSA.

- Strong hands-on experience with :

  • Pega PRPC (case design, data pages, flows, activities, integrations, UI, etc.)
  • Pega Decisioning, Pega APIs, and DevOps pipelines (preferred).
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, JSP, JavaScript, and front-end web technologies.

- Solid experience with RDBMS : SQL tuning, data modeling, stored procedures, triggers.

- Experience designing integrations (SOAP, REST, JMS, MQ, file-based).

- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams and drive quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications :


- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Pega Cloud.


- Exposure to microservices, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.

- Knowledge of enterprise security standards and authentication frameworks (OAuth, SSO, JWT).
