Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Patching Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for patch management processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in scripting, DevOps integration, and a deep understanding of IT systems, with a focus on security compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain automation scripts using Python or PowerShell to streamline patch management.

- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate automation into existing workflows and tools such as Ansible, Harness, and PayPal-specific patch automation systems.

- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of IT systems, applications, dependencies, and interactions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated testing and deployment processes.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Security and Network Operations, to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technologies and patch management best practices.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Minimum of 8 years experience in automation engineering, patch management, or related IT roles.

- Proficiency in Python and/or PowerShell scripting.

- Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible and Harness.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
