Job Description : UI/UX Freelance Designer.

Overview :

We're looking for an experienced and highly creative UI/UX Freelance Designer to collaborate with our team on exciting, user-centred digital projects.

You will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces and user experiences for our web and mobile applications.

This is a remote contract role with flexible hours, requiring a strong portfolio and proven ability to deliver high-quality work independently.

Responsibilities :

Conceptualization & Strategy :

- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand project goals, target audiences, and technical requirements.

- Conduct user research, create user personas, and define user journeys and information architecture (IA).

Design & Execution :

- Develop wireframes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to communicate design ideas effectively.

- Design clean, modern, and responsive user interfaces (UI) for web, iOS, and Android platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.

- Translate complex requirements into simple, elegant, and user-friendly designs.

- Create and maintain a comprehensive design system or component library for scalability and consistency.

Testing & Iteration :

- Plan and execute usability testing to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analytics, and business objectives.

Collaboration :

- Present and clearly articulate design concepts and rationale to the team and stakeholders.

- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth implementation of the design.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience : Proven experience (minimum 3 years recommended) as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role, preferably in a freelance or contract capacity.

Portfolio : A strong, professional portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centred design principles, visual design, and problem-solving across both web and mobile platforms.

Technical Proficiency : Mastery of industry-standard design and prototyping tools (Figma is strongly preferred; Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar are a plus).

Core Competencies :

- Deep understanding of UI/UX best practices, responsive design, and accessibility standards.

- Strong ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.

- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to typography, colour, layout, and hierarchy.

- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.

Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications :

- Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript capabilities and limitations.

- Experience with motion design or micro-interactions.

- A background in graphic design or branding.
