About the Role :
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing innovative, data-driven solutions using the Palantir Foundry platform.
You will work on complex, large-scale projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business analysts, and other engineers to solve some of the most challenging problems for our clients.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder with a passion for data engineering, application development, and leveraging cutting-edge technology to create tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities :
- Data Pipeline & Ontology Development : Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate diverse data sources into Palantir Foundry. This includes using tools like Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories, with a strong focus on using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Application & Workflow Creation : Develop custom applications and user-facing workflows using Foundry's no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Workshop, Slate, Quiver) and Code Repositories to enable business users to interact with data and drive operational outcomes.
- Data Governance & Quality : Implement and enforce data governance, security, and access control policies within Foundry to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance.
- Monitor data quality and pipeline health, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, data scientists, and end-users, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solution Architecture : Contribute to the architectural design of solutions on the Foundry platform, ensuring they are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Mentorship & Best Practices : Support other developers on project teams, and help establish and evangelize best practices for Foundry development, including version control, testing, and deployment.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Palantir Foundry Expertise : Proven hands-on experience in developing solutions within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem. This includes practical skills in building data pipelines, managing datasets, and deploying applications.
- Programming Proficiency : Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
- Experience with PySpark/Apache Spark for large-scale data processing is a must.
- Data Engineering Fundamentals : Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
- Foundry Tooling : Expertise with core Foundry applications such as Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Ontology Manager, Workshop, and Slate.
- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on unstructured problems and translate them into clear, actionable solutions.
- Communication : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Notice Period : The ability to join on an immediate basis or within a short notice period (15-30 days) is highly preferred.
Good to Have Skills :
- Experience with other Palantir products (e.g., Gotham, AIP).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
