About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer (L3) to join our team on-site at our client's location in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security infrastructures.


This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our client's network systems through expert security practices, proactive monitoring, and rapid incident response. You will be a key player in safeguarding our digital assets and contributing to a secure operational environment.


Key Responsibilities :


As a Network Security Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include :


- Network Infrastructure Management : Design, implement, configure, and maintain complex network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network security devices, ensuring optimal performance and security posture.

- Troubleshooting & Support : Provide advanced technical support and expeditiously troubleshoot complex network and security-related problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and impact on operations.

- Security Audits & Risk Assessments : Conduct comprehensive security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses and risks within the network infrastructure. Propose and implement remediation strategies.

- Policy Development & Implementation : Develop, document, and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Ensure continuous compliance across all network segments.

- Performance Monitoring & Optimization : Continuously monitor network performance, security logs, and traffic patterns to detect anomalies, potential threats, and areas for optimization. Implement measures to enhance network efficiency and security.

- Security Solution Implementation & Management : Architect, deploy, and manage a wide array of network security solutions, including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.

- Vendor Collaboration : Liaise effectively with technology vendors for the procurement, installation, configuration, and ongoing support of network and security equipment and software.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical field.

Experience :


- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering and security roles, with a strong focus on enterprise-level network security.

- In-depth understanding and practical experience with core networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, MPLS) and network architectures.

- Hands-on experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and management of networking and security equipment from leading vendors, specifically :


- Fortinet : FortiGate Firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer

- Juniper : SRX Series Firewalls, Junos OS, EX/QFX Switches

- Cisco : Cisco ASA/Firepower, Catalyst Switches, ASR/ISR Routers

- Proven experience in implementing, managing, and optimizing various network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), NAC, and SIEM integration.

- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving : Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues efficiently under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications :


Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE 4/7, JNCIS-SEC/JNCIP-SEC, CISSP, or equivalent.
